Our Story

What is An Amber Grant?

In 1998, we founded the Amber Grant — one of the very first online organizations to give women-owned business grants. The Amber Grant was established to honor the memory of Amber Wigdahl, a special young woman who passed away at just 19 years old, before she could realize her entrepreneurial dreams.

We've carried on that tradition by awarding three $10,000 Amber Grants every month to three deserving entrepreneurs — and by giving away three additional annual $25,000 Amber Grants to a trio of the preceding 36 monthly Amber Grant winners.

This means business owners like you can receive up to $25,000 in Amber Grant funding. Beyond awarding grants, we are a thriving community of entrepreneurs who create unique content and resources to help small business owners grow and thrive.

Who Can Apply?
